How usage is metered and billed

Billing is simple and predictable. Knowing exactly what is metered helps you avoid surprises at the end of the month.

What counts

• Records delivered — each unique record you receive via the API or a webhook.
• Webhook deliveries are metered once per successful event, not per retry.
• Sandbox traffic on ls_test_ keys is always free and never metered.

Overages

If you exceed your plan allowance, additional records are billed at your plan overage rate rather than cutting off your access. You will see a banner in the dashboard well before you reach the limit.

Watching usage

The Usage page shows current-period consumption against your allowance, updated continuously. You can also set an email alert at a threshold you choose, for example 80 percent of your monthly allowance.
